The Wellness Blueprint Health Centre is proud to welcome Yoga Instructor Rebecca Gruell to our wellness team. In Rebecca’s words:
I began my yoga journey 4 years ago when I realized I needed a change in my life.
I was just going through the motions of living and not really experiencing life to the fullest.
I was lucky enough to find an amazing teacher who believes that yoga should be available for everybody.
When the opportunity came up to take teacher training with her I couldn’t pass it up, so I am working on making yoga accessible to everybody.
My intention is to make each class as comfortable and welcoming to all participants.

Yin is a slow paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time. This class will give you the opportunity to deepen your relationship with your body, improve mobility and create a deeper sense of relaxation. Each week we will work on deepening the pose just a little bit more in order to open up and create more space in the body.
Class starts at 6:30 pm and run for 75 minutes.
Cost for 8 weeks is $70.
Drop ins also available and welcome for a donation (recommended donation is $10).
Yin Yoga works on the Yin tissues – also known as the connective tissues. Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load. If you gently stretch connective tissue by holding a yin pose for a long time, the body will respond by making them a little longer and stronger – which is exactly what you want. Remember the principle of exercise is to stress the tissue so the body will respond by strengthening it.
Yin Yoga is for you if you are tired, over-stimulated, when your energy is too erratic, your mind overactive, whether you are craving for energy or you feel you have too much of it.
Key benefits of a regular Yin Yoga practice
- Stillness: calms and balances the mind and body
- Stress and anxiety reduction
- Increased circulation
- Improved flexibility
- Fascial release
- Greater joint mobility
- Balance to the internal organs and improved flow of chi or prana through meridian stimulation
